IN MY DEFENSE, when in the wretched throes of depression I have a track record of snapping myself out of depression most effectively by shocking my system watching Cats (2019). A highly effective maneuver for someone who rarely watches things in the first place. As a consequence I had the Macavity song stuck in my head for days, though not this version from the 1983 musical. The lyrics that really lodged themsleves in my brain are still there at least.

Despite the perfectly timed goth night thrown in there, I confess I nearly forgot music existed this month with how little music I listened to in favor of a Locked Tomb series audiobook re-listen consuming all of my listening time not devoured already by video essay binges. Yet at the end there I managed to get really into Faith And The Muse for a stretch.

Listening-wise, this was a month spent riding on the waves of the exploratory spirit that carried on strong throughout the entire duration of my drawing course.
